Sarah Barnes will be teaching a 4 Year-Old classes for her fourth year at AVP.  Sarah graduated from Hope College with a BA in Elementary Education.  Before becoming a mom, she worked with children as a substitute teacher, resource aide, and school-age daycare director.  Sarah was lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mom for her 2 boys, both AVP alumni!  She has been able to be an active volunteer in all of their schools, as well as being very involved in the education department of her church.  She loves raising her boys with her husband (also an AVP alumn!), reading, knitting, working on her yard and house, making music, and spending time outside, even in the winter!
